The village of Holme sits at the head of the Holme Valley in West Yorkshire, close to Holmfirth and just within the boundary of the Peak District National Park. Christmas Tree Lights, Friday 15th December 2023

Come and join us for the grand switch-on and brass band. Children will be singing between 2pm and 3pm and adults at 6pm. The Christmas walk is also scheduled for Christmas Eve.

Defibrillator

The village now has a defibrillator, located outside the toilets, opposite the Fleece Inn.

Woman abducted as a child is reunited with the Holme village man who saved her

A woman abducted 40 years ago and abandoned in Holme village, has been reunited with the person who found her (John Sandford). Wendy Gould left a message on this website, which by the magic of the Home village grapevine, then found it’s way to John. Read more.
